With WhatsApp Web, you can now video call up to 50 people at once, support of Messenger Rooms

Facebook has given the support of Messenger Room on WhatsApp. This is part of the social media platform’s plan to integrate Facebook and WhatsApp. Room support is currently limited to WhatsApp Web only. In the coming days, support of the room can also come on the app. However, there is no official statement about it.

Earlier, Facebook had confirmed that it is testing room support on Instagram along with WhatsApp. Let’s know how the messenger room can be used through WhatsApp.

How to use

  • First of all, you have to update your WhatsApp web to the latest version 2.2031.4. There are two ways to use the room. First, click on the three dots in the top left side of the screen and then click on Create a Room.
  • On clicking this option, you will see the page for Facebook Messenger Room and then click on Continue with Messenger option.
  • After this, another page will appear in which there will be a “Continue with Facebook account” option on which to click. There will also be an option to switch accounts, so that you can prepare the room using another account.
  • Apart from Teen Dot, in WhatsApp you can also get the room feature inside a chat. Just click on the attachment option, the last option will be in the room. The process of preparing the room is the same.

Demand for video calling is increasing

Let us know that in this era of Coronavirus, online conversation, especially video calling has increased very fast. People are increasingly using video calling for personal and professional work. In view of this, Facebook has started Messenger Rooms service. It competes with Zoom, Skype and Google Meet.
