In Uttar Pradesh, troubles for the Congress are increasing day by day. A rebel MLA from the party has now been targeted after former Congress MP Annu Tandon quit the party and accused a district party chief of sexual harassment by two women. Rebel MLA Aditi Singh has written a letter to the Director General of the Economic Offenses Wing demanding an inquiry into alleged irregularities in the operation of Kamla Nehru Educational Society.

According to Aditi Singh, “I have written to the EOW to investigate the financial irregularities in the Kamla Nehru Educational Society. The society has never worked for the purpose for which it was formed and the use of land to promote girls’ education.” It has never been used for giving, whereas the bye-laws of the Society mention it. ” “Furthermore, conversion of land into freehold is illegal as there are around 150 shops which provide daily livelihood to 600 people,” he said.

Taking a sarcasm at Congress leaders and members of the Society, he said, “Those who question the transparency of the PM Cares Fund should also tell what they have done through this Society. I have taken the EOW to investigate the matter, Has written to the Chief Minister’s Office, Home Department of Uttar Pradesh.

There is a financial irregularity of hundreds of crores of rupees in the case. He further said that for educational purposes in the city of Rae Bareli, the trust was given land in the 1970s with a 30-year lease. However, it was not used for this purpose. They (Congress leaders) are now trying to sell it. My fight is for both – against the bogus methods of the trust and for the more than 100 families who have been living there for decades.

Rae Bareli Congress chief Pankaj Tiwari said that the High Court had ordered the land to be vacated, while we also want the government to do something about the families who have been living there for centuries, but we Can’t say much because the party has nothing to do with the trust. Kamala Nehru Educational Society converted the land into a freehold property in 2003 and in 2016 decided to sell it. According to rough estimates, there are about 150 shops which are the source of income of about 600 people.
