New Delhi, November 4: Reacting to the arrest of Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Wednesday that it was’ an attack on freedom of the press’ in Maharashtra and that ‘ Miss the days of emergency ‘. A police officer said that Goswami was arrested on Wednesday for abetting a 53-year-old interior designer to suicide.

A team of Alibaug police arrested him from Goswami’s residence in Mumbai. Goswami was seen being pushed into a police van and he claimed that the police misbehaved with him.
