In the Rajya Sabha today, from zero unemployed engineers of Jammu and Kashmir to Zero Hour, the Punjabi language in Jammu and Kashmir was re-inducted in the list of recognition. The issue of minimum support price for wheat was also raised, stating that the government had taken Rs 780 crore from farmers.
Demand for Self Help Group of Unimplined Engineers
In Zero Hour, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad raised the issue of unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that unemployment has increased in Jammu and Kashmir and there has been no tourism activity for 13 months. He said that in 2003 the government created Self Help Group of Unimplined Engineers for Unimploided Engineers. For him, every development work had 10% reservation. In this way 15 thousand unimploided engineers worked in it and became a contractor since 2003. But four days ago the government has scrapped that system and 15 thousand engineers have now come on the road. The Congress MP demanded that the self-help scheme for those 15,000 engineers should be started again.
MSP is getting fixed at Rs 1925 and Rs 1905
Samajwadi Party MP Javed Ali Khan raised the issue of minimum support price (MSP) to farmers. He said that the minimum support price for wheat in 2021 has been kept at Rs 1925 but the farmer is getting only Rs 1905 per quintal. He said that when I went to sell my wheat, the operator of the center demanded a cash of Rs 20 per quintal in the name of unloading, cleaning, filtering and showed the order of UP government. In which it has been said that after the approval of the Chief Minister from the Center, the farmer will be compensated later. The MP said that in the last three years, such expenditure was taken from the farmers till date. He said that 36 lakh tonnes of wheat has been purchased in UP, then the government has taken 72 crore rupees from farmers. Similarly, 780 crore rupees have been forcibly taken from farmers across the country. This amount was taken in cash and the receipt was not given. Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu termed it as an important issue and said that the government should give information and reply to it.
Important relationship between Jammu and Kashmir and Punjabi
Congress MP Pratap Singh Bajwa raised the issue of Punjabi in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the Jammu and Kashmir Language Bill states that five languages have been recognized, while 8 languages were recognized, including Punjabi, before the Union Territory was formed. Referring to the important relationship between Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab-Punjabi, he said that Punjabi should be included in it again. Shiromani Akali Dal MP Balwinder Singh raised this issue and said that Punjabi is also spoken in Canada, New Zealand, Australia. Congress MP Digvijay Singh, raising the issue of expensive oxygen, said that oxygen is necessary in the treatment of corona but the price of oxygen has increased. They demanded sealing of prices. Congress MP P Bhattacharya said that homeopathy should be promoted along with allopathy in the treatment of corona and a homeopathic helpline should be started.
