The Indian Premier League 2020 is going to start on 19 September. Now the BCCE has confirmed the date of its final match.
According to the board, the Indian government has given permission for the IPL. The finals of this season will be held on 10 November. There will be 10 double header matches this season. The evenings will start at 7:30 pm.
The tournament will run for 53 days
The IPL season-13 will run for a total of 53 days. During this period, broadcasters will also get the benefit of the week of Diwali. Considering the strict protocols, 10 double headers are planned to ensure that there is a good difference between matches.
Chinese mobile company Vivo will continue to sponsor IPL
The Governing Council of the Indian Premier League (IPL) decided to retain all sponsors, including Chinese mobile company Vivo, and approved the replacement of an unlimited number of players due to Kovid-19 in the tournament to be held in the United Arab Emirates this year.
Chinese sponsorship became a big issue in June after a confrontation between the Indian and Chinese military in eastern Ladakh. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) then promised to review the deal.
Due to Corona, IPL has to be forced out of the country
Due to increasing cases of Kovid-19, the IPL has to be forced out of India and due to the critical health security related circumstances around the world, Kovid-19 will be allowed to change players which will be unlimited.
The IPL GC member said, “We hope to get the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Home Affairs and External Affairs within a week. The final will be played on November 10 as it will be included in the week of Diwali and it will be a fascinating opportunity for broadcasters.
