On Saturday in Punjab’s Faridkot, the couple committed suicide by putting kerosene with two children. All four died tragically. The children had a 15-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. The reason for this dreadful move is being attributed to financial constraints. A suicide note has also been found by chance. However, the police have not revealed anything about him. The deceased couple were residents of Rajasthan and worked on brick kilns.
Crowds of villagers gathered at the scene. It has been said that neighbors saw the smoke rising from the house in the morning. Then called the police.
The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Dharampal, 36-year-old wife Seema, 15-year-old daughter Monika and 10-year-old son Hitesh, originally from District Sikar in Rajasthan. For the last about 10 years, the family was living in village Kaler in Faridkot district of Punjab. Dharmapala used to act as a scribe on a brick kiln. On Saturday, the family set themselves on fire by pouring kerosene on themselves.
Police also reached the spot and started investigating the case. According to preliminary investigation, the cause of this mass suicide is believed to be due to the financial crisis that has arisen due to the corona lockdown.
The people of the village told that when they saw smoke coming out of their house in the morning and they did not give any answer when the villagers made a sound, the villagers broke the door. When seen inside, the whole family was burnt by fire. Until the news is written, the entire matter is being closely investigated by the police.
