This rule applies for 24 hours from 18 September
This tweet states that State Bank of India has launched a 24-hour OTP based service across the country to protect customers from ATM fraud. The new rule is coming into effect from 18 September. For information, please tell that this rule will be applicable only to SBI Debit Card Holders.
No transaction without OTP
The bank has also told its customers that if you are going for withdrawal from the SBI ATM using the SBI card, then definitely take the mobile. It needs to be understood that OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Only after inserting OTP will be able to make 10 thousand or more withdrawals.
Must register updated mobile number
If a customer does not have a registered mobile number, then he will not be able to withdraw more than 10,000 from his SBI debit card at SBI ATM. In such a situation, he should get his updated number registered as soon as possible.
This rule is currently in force for 12 hours
Explain that the State Bank had already implemented this rule. It is being implemented for 24 hours from 18 September. According to the current rule, the OTP process applies between 8 am and 8 am. After entering the amount in it, the OTP screen opens and there you have to enter the OTP sent to your mobile number. Transactions will only happen after this process is completed.
