Cricket magazine Wisden selected all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as India’s most valuable player of the 21st century. The 31-year-old Jadeja has a 97.3 MVP rating and has become the second most useful player in the world. First place is Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka.
Expressing happiness over this, Jadeja said on Twitter, “Thank you Wisden for choosing India’s most valuable player.” For this I would like to thank all my teammates, coaches, fans and well wishers. My goal is to give the best for our country. “
Freddie Wilde of Cricviz said, “It must have been surprising to see Jadeja’s name.” He is also not a regular member of the Test team. Even though he has played, his contribution in the match has been tremendous. ”
He said, “His batting and bowling average of 10.62 runs is the second best in this century. He has scored more than a thousand runs and has taken more than 150 wickets. “
Jadeja has so far taken 213 wickets for India in Test cricket and scored 1869 runs. He has taken five or more wickets nine times in Test cricket so far and has also scored a century. He has 187 wickets and 2296 runs in ODIs.
