The country’s second largest Punjab National Bank (PNB) has issued an alert for its crores of customers. The bank has warned its customers about a cyber attack soon. PNB has said that if customers do not take precautions, hackers can make money disappear from the bank account. In addition to this, PNB has advised to avoid fake e-mails by posting alerts on its customers in many cities, besides posting on social media. It is worth noting that before this, the Indian government has also issued advisory in which the common people and the institute were alerted, fearing a big cyber attack.



Punjab National Bank (PNB) tweeted from its official Twitter account and said, ‘Stay alert. Targeted attack campaign is being run by cyber criminals in the name of free Kovid-19 testing. For this, they are using Malicious emails. Follow the instructions and avoid falling prey to these criminal activities. ‘

According to PNB, hackers have acquired the email addresses of millions of Indians. On which they now try to get personal and bank information from them by sending mail in the name of free corona test. According to the bank, mainly the major cities of the country are targeted by these fraudsters. This includes cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. Criminals send mail to ncov2019@gov.in. As soon as the user clicks on it, he reaches the fake website.
