Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday gave a new gift of Rs 541 crore to Bihar. In his address, PM Modi has taken a deep attack on the period of power run by Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family without naming him. PM Modi, without naming, alleged that after independence, such people had come to Bihar for a few days, which changed the mind of the poor here. The poor here had gone to poverty and illness as destiny.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that after independence, there was a period in Bihar when the priorities and commitments changed completely instead of basic facilities. Because of this, the focus shifted away from governance in the state. As a result of this, the villages of Bihar fell further behind and the infrastructure of cities which were a symbol of prosperity could not be upgraded due to the increasing population and changing times. Roads, lanes, drinking water, sewerage problems, many such basic problems have either been postponed or the work related to the land has been scammed.
The PM said that when selfish policy prevails over governance, the vote bank system suppresses the system, the most impact is on the section of society which is oppressed, deprived and exploited. People of Bihar have endured this pain for decades. When problems like water and sewerage are not solved for a long time, our mothers and sisters face the most problems. Poor, Dalit, backward, and most backward. People get diseases due to living in dirt and drinking dirty water. In such a large part of his earning is treated. Many times the family is in debt. Under these circumstances, large sections of people of Bihar accepted illness, poverty as their fate. What greater injustice can happen to the poor.

For the past decade and a half, teams of Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi have been working for the people of this class. Since 2014, almost complete control of infrastructure related issues has been given to the gram panchayats or local bodies. This is the reason that the problem of drinking water and sewerage in the cities of Bihar is constantly improving due to the joint efforts of the Central and State Government. In the coming years, Bihar will be a state where clean drinking water will reach every household.
The PM said that urbanization is the truth of today. It is happening all over the world. But for a few decades we had assumed that urbanization was a problem in itself. But my thinking says that we should always look for opportunities. Baba Saheb Ambedkar had understood this truth at that time. He was an advocate of urbanization. He envisaged a city where the poor also get opportunities. That is, cities should be such that especially youths have immense possibilities to go ahead.
