New Delhi, 17 September: Petrol and diesel (Petrol-Diesel) prices have dropped again on Thursday after a day’s break. In the country’s capital, Delhi, the price of petrol has come down to Rs 81.40 per liter, while the price of diesel has been reduced to Rs 72.37 per liter. On the other hand, the price of crude oil remains soft again in the international market. Oil marketing companies on Thursday cut petrol prices by 15 paise in Delhi, 14 paise in Kolkata (Kolkata) and Mumbai and 13 paise per liter in Chennai. At the same time, the price of diesel has decreased by 19 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, 20 paise in Mumbai (Mumbai) and 18 paise per liter in Chennai.
According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has come down to Rs 81.40, Rs 82.92, Rs 88.07 and Rs 84.44 per liter respectively. The price of diesel has also come down to Rs 72.37, Rs 75.87, Rs 78.85 and Rs 77.73 per liter respectively in the four metros. Brent crude’s November delivery contract on the international futures market, Inter Continental Exchange (ICE), was trading at $ 41.71 a barrel, down 1.21 percent from the previous session on Thursday.

In the previous session, Brent crude price had closed with a gain of 4.39 per cent. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) October delivery futures contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NIMAX) was trading at $ 39.62 a barrel, down 1.34 percent from the previous session. The price of WTI had closed up by 5.09 per cent in the previous session.
