Presently PAN card is an important KYC document, which is mostly needed for financial transactions. This may be required while opening a new account with a bank, investing in mutual funds and opening a demat account. In all the above cases, the person has to show his PAN number, or provide a photocopy of his proof for PAN number. The PAN can be easily reprinted if there is no modification in the details mentioned in the PAN and it is linked to your Aadhar card. However, if there is any modification in the details shown in the PAN and it is not linked to your Aadhaar, then a reprint is not possible. Apart from this, this online reprinting application can be done by those whose latest PAN application was processed through NSDL e-Gov. Or PAN holders who have got PAN card using the facility of instant e-PAN on the e-filling portal of the Income Tax Department. The updated mobile number in the PAN and Aadhaar records should be the same. If not, a request will have to be made to make the necessary changes.
To apply online, visit https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/ReprintEPan.html. Here a request form named Request for Reprint of PAN Card will open. For this, you have to fill details like PAN number, Aadhaar number, date of birth etc. The applicant also needs to give consent for using Aadhaar for the purpose of reprinting the card. To authenticate the transaction, you must enter the captcha shown on the screen. After that your online request form will be submitted.
