Islamabad: A major train accident has happened in Pakistan on Monday morning. Two trains collided in Daharki area of ​​Sindh. It is being told that so far 30 people have died in this accident, apart from this many others are injured. According to the report of Pakistan’s ARY News, at least 30 people died and many were injured when the Sir Syed Express train collided with the Millat Express. The accident happened between Reti and Daharki railway stations in Ghotki.

According to reports, Sir Syed Express train which was going towards Lahore collided with Millat Express which derailed en route from Karachi to Sargodha. Pakistani media quoted Ghotki’s deputy commissioner Abdullah as saying that at least 30 people were killed and 50 others were injured in the train accident.

According to Abdullah, around 13 to 14 bogies derailed while six to eight bogies were completely destroyed. He said that many passengers are still stranded and relief and rescue work is going on to rescue them.

DAWN News quoted Abdullah as saying, “It is a challenging task. It will take time to use heavy machinery to rescue the stranded people.” He informed that a medical camp is being set up to provide medical aid to the injured. Army attached to Pakistan Rangers Sindh has reached the spot and is conducting rescue operation.
