Washington, November 4: Voters have cast their votes for the presidential election in the US, and according to preliminary results in the CNN exit poll, one-third of American voters have cited the economy as the most important issue. According to the news agency Xinhua, the poll released on Tuesday on the election day showed that 1 in 5 reported racial inequality as the most important issue in choosing a presidential candidate.
Despite the importance of the economy, the exit poll also shows that a slim majority of voters believe that the country’s priority should now be to deal with coronovirus rather than rebuilding the economy.
