Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar's partner sent to 4-day police custody

New Delhi, June 11: A Delhi court on Friday sent an alleged aide of Olympic medalist wrestler Sushil Kumar to four-day police custody. The case pertains to the murder of a 23-year-old former junior national wrestling champion at the Chhatrasal Stadium here. Kumar’s accomplice Anirudh was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police from the national capital on Thursday. So far 10 people including Sushil Kumar have been arrested in connection with the incident. The police produced Anirudh in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra and sought seven days’ custody.

However, the court allowed only four days of custody for questioning by the police. During the hearing, Additional Public Prosecutor Atul Srivastava, appearing for the police, told the court that Anirudh has to be taken to Jammu, so his custody is necessary.

The court was told that Anirudh was seen in the video of the purported fight at the stadium. Kumar and his accomplices are accused of attacking wrestler Sagar Dhankhar and his two friends Sonu Mahal and Amit Kumar on the intervening night of May 4 and 5, in which Dhankhar died.

New Delhi: World number one tennis star Novak Djokovic has won the title of French Open 2021. In the final, he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 to win the trophy. Although this Serbian player had to face defeat in the first two sets, he came back strongly in the third set and won the title by registering consecutive victories. With this win, Novak Djokovic has become the first person to complete a career Grand Slam twice in the Open Era. Tsitsipas got off to a great start

Tsitsipas had to undergo treatment
