New Delhi, 16 September: There is no income assessment report available to assess the impact on the income of farmers of the country due to Coronavirus. This information has been given by the Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha. The Union Minister gave this information on Tuesday in response to the unstarred question of Bahujan Samaj Party MP Maluk Nagar from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. MP Malook Nagar had questioned the Agriculture Minister that the government is aware of the damage done to the farmers and agriculture sector of the country due to Kovid-19 and lockdown.

The MP had asked in another question whether the government is considering starting a scheme to provide relief to farmers after surveying the damage done to crops due to Kovid-19 and lockdown.
