New Delhi, 16 September: Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram (P. Chidambaram) have sought permission to remain absent from the monsoon session of Parliament for health reasons. Apart from this, MPs Oscar Fernandes, Navneet Krishnan, Narendra Jadhav and Sushil Gupta have also sought permission to remain absent from the proceedings of the House.
17 MPs including BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, Anant Kumar Hegde have been found infected with Corona. At least 12 MPs from BJP are infected with Corona. BJP’s Belagavi MP and Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angri will certainly not be able to attend the monsoon session as he has found them Kovid positive, although he said he is fine and being present in the House is out of the question for the minister.

Meanwhile, Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik was discharged from the Panaji Hospital on Saturday following a virus infection. His situation had become very serious. A central team of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences was monitoring his health. They are less likely to attend the Parliament session.
