Noida, June 9 : The services of Noida Metro Rail started after 39 days from Wednesday morning. However, in view of the corona virus infection, the metro train will run only from seven in the morning to eight in the night. Apart from this, these services will be completely closed on Saturday and Sunday, the day of weekend curfew. The frequency of trains has also been changed. Now during peak hours metro service will be available at 15 minutes while at other times metro will be available at 30 minutes. Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) Managing Director Ritu Maheshwari said that due to the “Corona epidemic”, all the train services of NMRC were suspended from May 1. But now when the lockdown in Gautam Buddha Nagar is relieved. Noida-Greater Noida Metro services have also been restored from June 9.

From Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 8 pm, passengers can take advantage of metro services. He told that to prevent corona infection, metro trains will be made infection free after every trip. All stations, platforms and other contact points like call buttons, POS machines, escalators will be made infection free. A team will be deployed at every station to monitor the passengers. This team will monitor the mask, temperature and the process of sanitization of the passengers coming to the station. The Managing Director said that only one entry and exit gates of Sector 101, 81, 137, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, Alpha-One, Delta-One and Greater Noida offices will be opened. The entry and exit gates at Sector-51, Sector-50, 73, NSEG, Sector 83, KP-2, Pari Chowk and Depot stations will be opened on both sides. Parking facility will be available only at Sector 51 metro station. Delhi Metro Rail has started its services from Delhi to Noida after being unlocked in Gautam Buddha Nagar from Monday. The Blue Line is running up to Sector 62 in Noida and the Magenta Line is running up to the Botanical Garden of Noida. Now, with the commissioning of Aqua Line Metro by NMRC from today, Noida and Greater Noida will also be directly connected to Metro Rail.

Chandigarh, June 18: Haryana Police on Friday said that it has arrested two members of a gang who duped people on the pretext of getting government jobs. Police said that both the members Arjun Tak and Vinod Kumar are residents of New Delhi while Manoj, a resident of Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh and third member of the gang is absconding. Raids are being conducted to nab him. A Haryana Police spokesperson said that after the action taken by the police in Palwal district, hundreds of fake appointment letters, 750 envelopes of judicial and forest departments, 234 speed post tickets, four fake tickets, four mobile phones, 18 SIM cards, one printing Machine, Rs 12,000 in cash and other material have also been recovered.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the gang received lakhs of rupees from several applicants either by giving fake appointment letters or on the pretext of providing letters bearing official seals and signatures,” he said in a statement.
