Mumbai, October 17: The Maharashtra Government has requested the General Managers of Central and Western Railway to allow all women to travel in local trains in the Mumbai region from Saturday. A senior railway official said that the proposal has been sent to the Railway Board. At present only special category people including employees of essential services are allowed to travel by local trains in view of Corona virus infection.
State Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation Secretary Kishore Raje Nimbalkar said in letters sent to both zonal railways on Thursday that women passengers should be provided train services from 11 am to 3 pm and from 7 pm till the end of services. .

Let’s say that Western Railway is currently running 500 local trains in Mumbai. Only people working for essential services are allowed to travel in these trains. These people are allowed by the state government.
