- Pakistan Bus Accident | 16 People Killed After Landslide Hits Passenger Bus In Gilgit Baltistan
Landslides occur frequently in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. The victims of the accident flew away in the bus.
Landslides in Pakistan’s Gilgit Baltistan led to a road accident. On Sunday morning, a bus fell into a deep gorge after being hit by a landslide in the Roundo area. 16 people died in the accident. According to Radio Pakistan, the bus was going from Rawalpindi to Skardu.
According to the Assistant Commissioner of the rounds, Miraj Alam, there were 18 people on board the bus that was killed in the accident. However, two people got off the bus before the accident.
6 people killed in accident were identified
The rescue operation was carried out with the help of the Army’s Frontier Work Organization. Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Haasan informed on Sunday evening that the rescue has been completed. 16 bodies have been recovered from the bus. Of these, 6 people have been identified, including the driver conductor. The remaining bodies are being identified. Traffic was briefly stopped on the road to clear the landslide debris.
