Corona virus cases are continuously increasing. But the recovery rate is increasing in the country. Immunity is responding very well in recovering people. In order to increase immunity, all health experts have been advised to adopt Ayurveda, apart from PM Modi. Guidelines issued by the Ministry of AYUSH have also been given the maximum emphasis on Ayush decoction. But many people had described other problems like heat, burning and other disorders with the decoction. For the diagnosis of which Prasar Bharati held a special conversation with Dr. Tanuja Nesari of All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi.
How does one see the role of Ayurveda in the battle with Corona?
Immunity is needed to avoid infection during the corona period and to become cured quickly if infected. Ayurvedic immunity boosters are available in the market, which include Amla, Ashwagandha, Giloy, Mulethi, Tulsi, Cinnamon, Munkka, etc. Many people have benefited from their use. Apart from this, recently, the Ministry of Health has included Aayush for post cavid management. In which Ayush decoction, hot water, Garra, Giloy, Amla, Tulsi have been asked to be consumed. Yogasan Pranayama has also been asked to do. This helps in increasing immunity. The Health Ministry is fully convinced that Ayurveda has an important role in fighting Kovid.

What should be the ratio of things in Ayush decoction?
If you are making it at home, then take one part each of lentil sugar, basil, dry grapes. Take one-fourth of this pepper and dry ginger. If the effect of dry ginger and black pepper is hot, if their quantity is too high then there may be burning sensation in the urine, heat in the stomach or blisters in the mouth. Mix all these things and prepare a spoon. Put this mixture in a glass of water and boil it for 2-3 minutes and it can be filtered and drunk. Do not add sugar to it. Yes, you can add jaggery or lemon. If you want to add milk, make a glass by adding one part milk, one part water, and boil it a little more.
How much quantity of Ayush decoction to be taken in a day?
Do not take it throughout the day, it can cause body heat. Just like you drink tea, it should be consumed in the morning and evening. Now the weather will change in October, during this period, biliary disorders, acidity, stomach irritation, fever, etc. are more. In such a time, if you use liquorice and cardamom in the decoction, the heat will reduce. You can also drink Giloy powder or Amla powder.

Can all people take Ayush decoction?
Yes, everyone can drink Ayush decoction. Talking about the Ayurveda Institute of Delhi, the entire staff here are taking Delhi Police personnel every day. People can make it at home, although now it is also available in the market. Along with increasing immunity, it also acts as an anti-viral agent.
Can diabetes patients drink Ayush decoction?
Those who have diabetes, must take Ayush decoction. Such people fall into comorbidity, and their immunity is weak. Diabetic patients should drink Amla and turmeric in the decoction. This helps in reducing the sugar level as well. Keep in mind, do not use sugar or liquorice in it.
