New Delhi, 15 September. The Monsoon Session of Parliament started today. Along with this, the matter of handing over six airports to the Adani Group under public-private partnership has been continuously in discussion before. Meanwhile, the Congress has become an attacker once again over this issue. Taking a dig at the issue in the Rajya Sabha, Congress MP KC Venugopal said that by ignoring the rules, the government gave the Adani group to look after the airport.
KC Venugopal said that the Adani Group has won the bid to operate and maintain the six airports. But the rules have been ignored in giving an airport to a private company. Significantly, the government has given the responsibility of the airport of 6 big cities of the country to the Adani Group. Under this, Adani Group has been given the responsibility of looking after Lucknow, Mumbai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram airports.
