The Governing Council of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday announced Dream 11 as the new title sponsor for the IPL 2020. Dream 11 beat the rest of the companies present in this race by bidding 222 crores to get this sponsorship.
According to this deal with IPL, now this sports company will have these rights to the title sponsorship of IPL till December 31. Earlier, the mobile manufacturer Vivo India had divested itself from the IPL for this edition after a tussle between India and China. Vivo had signed a 5-year (2018-2022) contract for the title sponsorship of IPL. Now if Vivo does not return to the IPL for the next season, the board will either negotiate the remaining two editions with Dream 11 or issue new tenders once again.
Well for the remaining two years, Bhai Dream 11 has shown interest in it, if Vivo does not return. For this, he has submitted separate bids of 240 crores per annum separately from 222 crores. However, the BCCI has currently made it clear that it will take a decision on it in January next year.

Harsh Jain, co-founder of Dream 11, said, ‘With the introduction of IPL in 2008, we got the idea to make Dream 11. We are happy with this ongoing partnership with BCCI and IPL. Currently Dream 11 is associated with a total of 19 sports leagues in India and abroad, including 6 franchises of IPL.
