IPL 2020: KKR captain Morgan breaks silence after defeat

Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a crushing defeat by 8 wickets against Mumbai Indians on Friday in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League. Just before this match, a big change was noticed in the KKR team. KKR has appointed Eoin Morgan as the captain of the team along with Dinesh Karthik. Morgan has blamed the upper-order batsmen for the defeat against Mumbai Indians.

In place of Karthik, the stakes of making Morgan the captain did not go against the Mumbai Indians. KKR started off to bat first and the team had a very bad start and the team lost four wickets at the score of 42 in 8 overs. However, thanks to Cummins’ 53-run knock and Morgan’s unbeaten 39, KKR managed to score 148 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. But Mumbai achieved this target in 16.5 overs at the loss of two wickets.

Morgan said, “We made a lot of mistakes. The bowling of Mumbai Indians was also fantastic. Mumbai is doing well in this tournament. ” Morgan has insisted on a change in batting order after the defeat. He said, “We have to be ready for a change in batting order.”

Morgan said that it was difficult to stop him from the way Mumbai batted. He said, “We were never in a better position in the match against Mumbai. Although we had scored struggling runs, the way Mumbai batted it was difficult to stop them. ”

Let the Kolkata Knight Riders have played 8 matches in IPL 13 so far, out of which it has won four and lost four. For KKR, further matches have become more important now.
