Railways have given relief to passengers in view of upcoming festivals including Durga Puja, Diwali. In view of the upcoming festivals, Western Railway has decided to run 12 pairs of special trains. Western Railway (WR) has said that in view of Dussehra and Deepawali festivals, 12 pairs of special trains will be run for the convenience of passengers, which will make 156 trips.
WR said in a release on Friday that out of these 12 pairs of special trains, five pairs will run from Branda Terminus, two each from Indore and Udhna and one pair each from Okha, Porbandar and Gandhidham stations. According to the release, “All trains will be run as special trains and will have special fare.”
These trains will be fully reserved and booking for them will start from October 17 to 22. Explain that special trains are being run from different parts of the country in view of festivals. Railway divisions of different zones are taking these decisions to give relief to the passengers.
In addition, during the Dussehra and Deepavali festivals, Western Railway has decided to operate 240 services of eight pair festival special trains to various destinations for the convenience of passengers and smooth adjustment of additional congestion. Chief Public Relations Officer Sumit Thakur told here on Friday that eight pair festival special trains will be run for different destinations for the convenience of passengers. Of the special trains, six pairs of trains will run from Mumbai and one pair from Indore, while one pair of special trains will pass through Western Railway at Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara and Ratlam stations.
