New Delhi, 17 September. The Lok Sabha (Loksabha) on Tuesday approved the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill 2020. However, after the passing of this bill, the opposition is constantly attacking the Center on this issue. All opposition parties including Congress are opposing this decision of the government. Meanwhile, former CM of Jammu and Kashmir and Lok Sabha MP Farooq Abdullah has reacted to this bill. Farooq Abdula said that this is problematic for the farmers.
According to news agency ANI, Farooq Abdula said that this is problematic for the farmers. If we really want to save the farmers then this should be reconsidered. At the same time, this bill passed on farmers, provides for the removal of cereals, pulses, oilseeds, edible oil, onion potatoes from the list of essential commodities. Significantly, in the midst of a fierce battle over this bill, BJP President JP Nadda had said on Wednesday that it will benefit the farmers a lot. He further supported the bill and said that this bill has been brought into consideration with the farmers.
