new Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that Delhi Sports University will brighten the name of the country in the world of sports. Shri Sisodia said that the dream of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal is that we should provide world class facilities and training to our youth for advancing in the field of sports. If we have done this then our sports talents will leave no stone unturned to bring more and more medal in international competition.

Mr. Sisodia today inspected the proposed site in Mundka village for Delhi Sports University. Mundka’s AAP MLA Dharampal Lakra and Mr. Sisodia discussed the specifics of the area with officials. During this, Mr. Sisodia said that we have passed the Delhi Sports University Bill last year from the Delhi Legislative Assembly. Work has been interrupted due to Corona crisis but now we want to move fast in this direction because it is our dream to provide world class opportunities to our children and youth in the field of education and sports. Mr. Sisodia said that it is our endeavor that the level of training and facilities in Delhi Sports University should be so advanced that even the best sports talents can come and develop themselves. Once this dream is realized, no power of the world will stop India in bringing more and more gold medal in the upcoming international sports competitions.

Mr. Sisodia said that the objective of Delhi Sports University is to promote world-class training, research and academics in the field of sports as well as health and exercise etc. We want to make the teaching training of sports multi-disciplinary so that sports professionals can get wide employment opportunities. He said that this university will try to promote public health by making sports popular.
