COVID-19 Vaccine Update: Russia Starts Public Distribution of Corona Vaccine Sputnik V - Reports

Moscow: Russia (Russia) has started distributing the COVID-19 vaccine (Coronavirus Vaccine) Sputnik V to the public. Thursday’s state media report claimed that the world’s first potential vaccine is now available to the public in the capital city of Moscow. Although the report has not yet been confirmed by the authorities, Russia has insisted on the development and delivery of the vaccine at the earliest.

Sputnik V, an adenovirus vector-based vaccine, has been developed by The Gamalay Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. Russia registered the corona vaccine ‘Sputnik-V’ on 11 August.

Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the Russian Corona vaccine Sputnik V on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the UN. He said that Russia’s Corona vaccine is quite safe and most reliable. Putin said that Sputnik V Vaccine is the world’s first corona vaccine. He said that such a test has also been developed in Russia which detects Corona virus immediately.

Russia has said that ‘it is ready to give its corona vaccine’ Sputnik V ‘free of charge for voluntary vaccination of employees posted in the United Nations and its offices.’
