Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday instructed to provide free travel facilities to women in roadways buses on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. A spokesperson of the state government said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that in view of the festival of Rakshabandhan, Rakhi and sweets shops will be open in the state on Sunday. Under the Cleanliness and Sanitization Campaign, weekly confinement of markets is scheduled on every Saturday and Sunday.

The spokesman said that like the last three years, the Chief Minister has instructed to provide free travel facility to women in all categories of buses of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation on the festival of Rakshabandhan this year. Under this, free travel facility will be made available to women passengers in all categories of buses of the corporation from Sunday midnight till 12 midnight Monday (for 24 hours).

The Chief Minister has also instructed the police to patrol intensively on the festival of Rakshabandhan. He directed that the protocol of Kovid-19 should be followed completely on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, no public event should be held and all the rituals of the festival should be done at home.
