Chhattisgarh Hockey Academy gets Sai’s approval


Raipur : Chhattisgarh Hockey Academy has got the approval of Sports Authority of India (SAI). Officials gave information about this on Friday. A proposal to set up a residential hockey academy in Raipur and a center of excellence in Bilaspur for athletics, wrestling and swimming under the Khelo India Scheme of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare was sent to the Sports Authority of India. The proposal has now been approved by the authority.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said, “Chhattisgarh is committed to arrange necessary training facilities to train sports talent in the state.” Chhattisgarh Hockey Academy is being set up in Raipur, where both male and female trainees are provided with residential facilities.
