Bollywood-Drug Traffickers ‘Nexus’: The Narcotics Control Bureau has not been informed of any link between Bollywood and drug smugglers. Giving information about this in the Parliament, the government said that no such evidence has been found by the NCB to prove the allegation of the relationship between the drug smuggling gang and Bollywood celebrities. This information has been given by the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy.
Riya Chakraborty was recently arrested by the NCB team investigating the drugs case in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. From then on, film stars as well as people working in this industry were being severely criticized, accusing them of relations between Bollywood and drug peddlers.

On the first day of the monsoon session, BJP MP Ravi Kishan had alleged that the trend of drug consumption is seen increasing in Bollywood too. He appreciated the action of NCB and said that it is very important to protect the industry from drugs.

Taking a dig at this, Jaya Bachchan said in the Rajya Sabha that some people are trying to discredit the film industry. People make holes in the plate they eat. Due to these allegations, people associated with the industry are being condemned on social media. Jaya Bachchan also urged the government to warn people not to talk about the film industry in this way.
