Patna, 16 September: A report by the Association of Democratic Reforms revealed that Rashtriya Janata Dal is the most tainted MLA in Bihar. After this, the second number is from the Congress and the least tainted MLA is from the Bharatiya Janata Party. This report has revealed that 41 percent of RJD leaders have criminal charges, while 40 percent of Congress leaders have such charges. After this, 37 percent of the Janata Dal United (Janta Dal United) and the lowest 35 percent of the BJP leaders have criminal charges. These results of the report have been derived based on the affidavits that the candidates had filed during the 2015 assembly elections.
Talking about serious charges like murder, 11 MLAs have been booked for murder and 30 MLAs for attempt to murder. 5 MLAs are accused of cruelty to women and 1 MLA is accused of rape. Disclosures have also been made in this report regarding wealth and property. According to this, 67 percent of the 240 MLAs are millionaires. JDU MLA from Khagaria seat Poonam Devi is the richest MLA of Bihar assembly, she has total assets of Rs 41 crore.

At the same time, Congress MLA Ajit Sharma from Bhagalpur constituency has assets worth Rs 40 crore. At the same time, JMU MLA from Raniganj Achim Rishidev has assets worth only Rs 9.6 lakh. The report also stated that out of 240 MLAs, 134 have studied above graduation, while 96 MLAs are graduates and 9 MLAs are only literate.
