Former MLA and Minister Mahipal Maderna, accused in the Bhanwari Devi kidnapping murder case of the state, was heard in the sc-st court on Tuesday. During the court hearing of the presiding officer, Anima Dadhich, the accused Mahipal Maderna’s guilty statements were recorded. Now the matter will be heard again on 19 September. During the hearing, the accused Shahabuddin’s criminal statement will be recorded.

Madrena gets fourth stage cancer
Significantly, Mahipal Maderna has got fourth stage cancer. Therefore, on behalf of Mahipal Maderna, an interim bail application was submitted in the Rajasthan High Court seeking bail for 2 months for treatment. On August 21, Maderna was confirmed to have fourth stage cancer during the investigation in the jail, after which the court had given permission to undergo an investigation in Jaipur. Along with this, the SC-ST court had ordered the SC-ST court to record the criminal statement of Mahipal Maderna.

Significantly, Mahipal Maderna, Minister of Water Resources and former Osia MLA in the previous Congress Government, was arrested by the police on December 2, 2011 in the case of Bhanwari’s murder and kidnapping. Since then, Maderna is lodged in Jodhpur Central Jail. Mahipal Maderna is accused of plotting the murder and kidnapping of Borunda resident Bhanwari Devi in a case filed by Bhanwari’s husband Amarchand.
