Berlin, 18 October: German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier quarantined himself after one of his bodyguards became positive with COVID19. This information was received from the spokesperson of the President’s office. According to Saturday’s report by the news agency Xinhua, the first test of Steinmeier has come negative. There are plans to do more tests in the coming days.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, the State Disease Control and Prevention Agency of Germany, 7,830 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Germany in the last 24 hours on Saturday. This is the worst case of a day after the outbreak.
