new Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed displeasure over the loss of lives in the case of the crash of a crane at the Hindustan Shipyard in Visakhapatnam, saying a departmental inquiry committee has been set up to find out the cause of the accident. 11 people died in the accident. Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Very upset with the death of people due to accident in HSL of Visakhapatnam.”
He said, “My condolences to the family of the dead. I wish the injured to recover soon. A departmental inquiry committee has been constituted to find out the cause of the accident.”

A 70-tonne heavy crane fell in HSL in Visakhapatnam, killing 11 people. This is the first event in the 75-year history of a ship-making public sector company.
Four HSL employees are among the dead, while seven others are contract workers. This information was given by District Magistrate V Vinay Chand to reporters after inspecting the site of the accident.
